Dr Chen Ka Yaw obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from University of Malaya upon five years of studies. Upon graduation, she served at government dental clinics in Perlis and Cheras, gaining valuable practice experience in various settings. She served specifically for Children Dentistry as well as Oral Maxillofacial Surgery department during her years in Kajang Hospital. Her journey continues with ST Tiew Dental Group upon completion of civil service. Dr Chen served various clinics throughout the Klang Valley region, which provided her with exposure to variety of patient demography, culture and different dental needs. Currently, she is the Person-in-Charge for Bandar Sri Permaisuri branch.
Dr Chen is also a member of the Malaysian Dental Association. This provides opportunities for continuous learning and training throughout the career, which has been fully utilised by Dr Chen. Her down-to-earth and friendly approach has gained her a substantial reputation among her patients. She has an established enthusiasm in orthodontics (braces) practice. She believes that with a healthy set of teeth, everybody can enjoy eating more mindfully.
