Had my scalling done with Dr Joshua. Very nice, gentle person, talked through all my gum and teeth issues and gentle throughout the whole scalling process.
Overall, the experience was good. Dr. Choo is very patient and takes the time to explain things in detail. Follow up review: I am updating my previous review because my experience with the payment process and customer service has been consistently disappointing. Previously, I was encouraged to leave a review in exchange for an RM50 voucher that could be used on a future payment. I left the review and received the voucher. However, during my visit today, after making payment, I presented the voucher only a few seconds after tapping my card. The staff refused to honor it and told me to use it on my next visit instead. The reason given was that the payment had already been processed. While I understand there may be procedures in place, the delay was literally a matter of seconds. Considering that I have spent thousands of ringgit on treatments here, I found the response unnecessarily rigid and lacking any effort to accommodate a loyal customer. There were many possible solutions, such as reversing the transaction or issuing a refund adjustment, but none were even considered. What disappointed me most is that this is not the first time I have encountered something similar. On a previous occasion, I came for a consultation and later decided to proceed with treatment. During my first treatment appointment, I noticed a promotion for new customers displayed at the counter. I had never been informed about it. When I enquired, I was told that I was not eligible because I had visited before. However, my earlier visit was merely a free consultation—I had not yet engaged any paid services. Despite this, the promotion was denied and I was charged the full amount. At the time, I let it go. However, after experiencing another rigid rejection today, I felt compelled to share my feedback. The issue is not the RM50. The issue is the attitude towards customers. When a customer has spent a significant amount of money with a clinic, a few seconds' delay in presenting a voucher should not be treated as a reason to deny it outright. Good customer service requires discretion, flexibility, and a willingness to help, not simply hiding behind procedures. To be clear, my previous positive review of the dentist still stands. The doctor has been professional and competent throughout the treatment. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the clinic's payment process and customer service. For a clinic that charges these prices, I expected a much higher standard of customer care and flexibility. Instead, I left feeling that customer loyalty is taken for granted and that providing a positive customer experience is not a priority.
